Game Brainstorm

Game Brainstorm

1)Game Title: "Do You Know?"

The first idea : Intellectual game

My first game idea is an Intellectual/Educating game for the senior and secondary school children.

Game Description:

I am thinking to create a World Map quiz, and each participant should choose a color of the game. They can play with teams. Each team will have different shape of the buttons with assorted colors and numbers.

When they click on the number, after pressing start button, they question will appear in the box size window.  It will include themes like a -adventure, history, culture, sport, science  and so on. And the players can read or even hear the question.
The team who will get the right answer first will  get points, but they will meet a lot of obstacles during the play time.

One obstacle can be let's say "the black holes" - stamping on it they will lose their points.
Or if team answers wrong other team players will get 2 more points.
But they will have a praise -  yellow star button as well, which will triple their points.
This game is a competition game, and the main goal is to win at the end of the game.
The main goal of this game is to teach/educate the school children through the games, which will help them to memories all the important and interesting events in the world.

2)Game Title: "The Mighty"

The second idea: Survival game

Game Description:

One very ancient and powerful dynasty fighting for their homeland. During all the war they are protecting their families from the opponents. The king son of "The Mighty" has a special power-he is an invulnerable. But only one thing can kill him. And none knows what it is.

The opponent's mission is to find the vulnerable part and kill The Mighty.

To achieve their goals the opponent sending a beautiful princess to the castle to make The Mighty to fall in love of her, after it she will kill the Mighty.

But everything is going opposite, the princess is falling in love the Mighty, and starting to fight together against the opponents.

They are invading  new lands and getting a lot of treasures during their adventures. They can appear from century to century, choose any new technological weapon and return to their land and continue their mission. But they will have a plenty of obstacles during their struggle and the chance to pass all of them will be hard.

The main goal is to be survive during the game, as she has only 3 lives, and 5 fighting factors, The Mighty has two goals, to save his dynasty and the love one.

Gaining the power and achieving the goals is a struggle. When the game players will feel that they are struggling to win, they will enjoy the game.

3.Game Title: "I'll catch..."

The third idea: solving diseases problem

I am thinking to create a game for the children who are struggling from their bad vision. And I hope the game can help them to improve their eyesight problems.

Game Description:

It could be dark palette of color's objects, let's say-squares, which will move vertically and horizontally, helping the children to catch as many objects as they will be able to see during the game.

To make the game more interactive and fun, I will add piece of art and  music sounds in the game. Inside of each square, they will see some art, or hear sound, when they collect all the squares in time they will see the prize box-inside of it will be discount code of something-let's say cinema ticket.

In one side it will help them to exercise their eyesight, and in other side it will be fun to play, interacting the attention how they will achieve their goals at the end of the game to get some prize.

Game mechanic for my game:

1.Following

  • single followers: shapes/objects

The player should pick up a shape/object and start to follow exact the same shapes on the game board.
If the player finds the same shape/object and click on it ,the correct answer will appear on the desk like a music/sound and piece of artwork.

Tricky part:

The player will think its a square and click on it, but underneath could be a star(different shape/object).It means the player lost points.

2.Effects

To make the game screen visually interactive, I will include ray casting and line of sight and small shadows as well. They will help the player to exercise the eyesight and no put too much presser on eyes. Besides, the game board will be on a dark color of mode.

  • ray casting and shadows
  • line of sight
  • shadows
3.BONUS/POINTS

To encourage the player to play and enjoy the game they will get points for each correct answer. At the end of the game the player will get bonus - a discount coupon from any store at close by.

4.Game Title: "Urartu"

The forth idea: Military Game

The idea came to my mind after doing research about Game Design. Most of the game players preferred Military games. what surprised me more its the teenager's enthusiasm during the game. So, I thought, I can create a game including history moments inside. I don't have a clue, YET- how I am going to implement it, but I will try to put some of ideas.

Game Description:

I named the game Urartu, as it was the name of the kingdom developed in the Bronze and Iron Age of ancient Armenia. They are controlling their territories through the military might and the constructions of fortresses.

So, the game idea is going to be the following.

My character is going to be smart general whose army is always winning in the victories. His secret was a good military strategy.

Of course, there will be opponents and traitors, who will try to destroy the kingdom and kill the general.

To make a game more interactive and enjoyable for the game players, they will meet a lot of obstacles.

The protagonist will try to overcome all the barriers and achieve his goals at the end of the game.

As a military game, the game players will have a chance to play with real people from different countries, using their countries flags and logos.
