Prototype

 Prototype

"The Last Survival"

This week project is starting the game development process. And I created the prototype to make it more clear how I can start to implement it on the Unity. I tried to prototype using Adobe Illustrator, but then I found easier to prototype on the paper, as you can quickly make any changes  you want.

When I created my prototype, I started to implement that idea in a Unity.

I created new project, then added ground, background, the player, enemy(obstacle).I created material folder, and gave color all of them. My game mechanics are  jumping, running to avoid of red rock( obstacles), so I created the C# script-PlayerController to make the player jump over the obstacles, I used the code Physics-gravityModifier to control the jump, also I added force mode and Boolean(true-false).I found it not easy as I have to go back to check all my notes that I took from the tutorials, thanks God, that I did it in advance ,so no need now to watch tutorials one more time. However, I have a lot of work to do to design normal game, and bring it to final. I hope I can implement my game idea. Finger cross!

  1. Hi Lusine your game looks great so far! It was a smart idea to sketch it out on paper instead of adobe as you said it was probably easier to make changes unlike adobe I know I'm still getting use to it. You also have seem to have gotten a lot done which will be easier for you when you are doing the next part. I just had a quick look at your other blogs and I really like the layout of your blog. Back to your game how about adding an environment such as trees or plants? I like that the colour of the obstacle is red makes it clear for the player to see it. Best of luck with your game-Niamh
