Feedback Strategies
"The trouble with "Amazing": Giving Praise that matters"
"The difference between Praise and Feedback"
In those two articles the authors are talking about negative and positive feedbacks. Is that correct to give a positive feedback to your employee, a student, or a child?
The discussion showed that positive feedback can do more harm than good, as you are not putting any effort just focusing on the person, rather than actions. And people are getting less motivation after getting positive feedback. They are thinking that they are perfect in their job, or study and not need to improve their abilities.
And we can also match feedback strategies with Fixed and Growth Mindset. As Fixed mindsets are thinking they are naturally smart, and its hard to motivate them. Growth Mindset people are much more motivated to work hard on challenging tasks because they believe effort pays off.
Feedback should play a role as an encouragement, rather than judgment of your work.
As for me I never like the word Feedback, it sounds as a "Verdict".
I chose two games : Military game and board game
After my research I was so surprised to see how the children of ages 8 and up involved in playing military games, and not only boys. the big interest showed girls as well. I don't know laugh or cry. Many games are having bad effect on the children's behavior, they become more aggressive, not interested in study, don't want to go for a walk with friends, less communication with family members.
What about board game, I noticed that not many people are interested in playing chess or Monopoly online. Now I am thinking which Mindset are working in these two cases : Fixed or Growth.
For my point of you I am thinking the children who are playing active games are Growth Mindset.
